Yes it'll be a different midwife, my labour went through 3 different shifts so I had 6 different midwives because I had students with all of them 😂
Yes, that's how it was for me. Although I had student midwifes with my community midwife sometimes and one of them saw the start of my time on the labour ward which was nice! Just happened to be her shift though!
@Maneek see I’m 39.3 weeks today, we haven’t really discussed my birth plan, she read over the one I wrote and basically said that that was fine and that the hospital should be able to accommodate my requests and that was that 😂
Hmmm I’ve seen other women say this too. My one mentioned we could speak about it at an appointment. I’m on the badger app too within my health board and I can add stuff in there but, I’m going to write/print one out too. Maybe just make sure your partner knows your plan so he can advocate for you when you’re giving birth. It might not all go the way you want but some stuff should or all hopefully will 🙌🏽
@Maneek oh he knows the plan! My mum knows too as she’s meant to be in the room as well! The plan is written and in my folder, I have a copy of it as well incase they claim it’s not there lol 😂

Hi, I believe that is correct, well it is for me anyway. I asked my midwife the question at our first appointment and she said she won’t be there and it will be whoever is on shift at the time I go in to give birth. Plus, she doesn’t work in the hospital, is in the community as you said and drops by. You will discuss birth plan and things with your community midwife so just make sure you have that printed or in your notes etc for the rest of the team when you go in
