Maternity

Hi ladies. I am on maternity with my second born. Does this mean I am no longer entitled to tax free childcare or 15 hours funding for my Jan 22 born?

Hi, you are still entitled to them when on maternity leave, I'm in the same boat and it says on gov.uk website that still entitled when on maternity leave https://www.gov.uk/check-eligible-free-childcare-if-youre-working#:~:text=You%20can%20usually%20get%20free,maternity%2C%20paternity%20or%20adoption%20leave

Hi, you should still get both as maternity leave counts as a period of work and therefore you’re eligible for the help! I had the same worry 😅

Yes I think mat leave just takes you over the threshold you have to earn so should still be fine 🙂

I’m on mat leave and just got accepted for the hours :)

Thanks everyone. Does anyone know how we add baby 2 to the tax free system or when we have to do it by? X

I think just through your government gateway account
