Menstrual cup with prolapse?

Looks like I am having my first period postpartum after 13 months and I got bladder prolapse, I can feel the bulge and got physio, ended the sessions in January and I keep doing exercises when I find the time. I used to use a menstrual cup before birth, I wonder if it will stay in place with the prolapse, does anyone here use one and how is it?

I wondered this - but haven’t used one before i don’t want to use tampons anymore..

Hello. I don’t use a menstrual cup but did use tampons before my pregnancy. I was worried about my first period postpartum and it came at about 13 months, too. I had spoken to my physio before and she said just to try it and see. She had said you might find it a bit different to put in, so might need to adjust there or try again, but that some people find cups/tampons can almost support the prolapse. I did try it and have was relieved it was fine and almost supportive! So I’d say give it a go.

@Alice thanks, I’ll try, however, what I thought it was my first period was just very light spotting for 4 days, I am now waiting for next month but I am breastfeeding at night quite a lot as baby demands, that might suppress my period still…
