Potty training
My daughter is currently potty training and it seems to be going fairly well, but she’s sitting on the potty for so long! Not because we’re asking her to, she just keeps sitting on it. I don’t think she quite understands the feeling of needing to go to the toilet, but she’s 3 so would really like to get her potty trained now as we have attempted it multiple times now.
She has had plenty of wees on there, but I just feel like she isn’t quite grasping exactly what to do as she will just sit there for half hour sometimes not having a wee.
Does anyone have any advice or tips please?

I’d just let her do her thing, She’ll get there! My daughter was doing the same, we are 5 days in now and today’s the first day where she’s taken herself when she’s actually needed a wee. I started setting a timer for every 15 minutes and then putting her on. And literally reset the timer as soon as she’d finished. And gave her a piece of paper and a sheet of her fave stickers and she got to put one sticker on the paper everytime she did a wee etc, (she was 3 at the end of July) lots and lots of over the top praising too helps! Xx

That’s very interesting! Do you guys sit on the toilet for a long period of time? Hmmm, does she have words to tell you or can you ask her questions to maybe describe why she might be on there long?
