KIT days

Hi, I’m currently on my mat leave and due to take my annual leave days after the mat leave ends. Just wanted to check whether anyone knows how KIT days work. Do I have to take them during my mat leave or is it ok to take during my annual leave days? Is the pay during them full pay or SMP only

Each company policy is different so I would check with them. My company pay me full pay for KIT days.

I get a full days pay for doing half a day or more, check with your company how theirs work. Make sure to let accounts know you’ve worked in case your manager forgets to.

KIT days can only be taken during maternity leave and they should be full pay for however many hours of KIT you do. Eg if you go into work for 3 hours you will get ur full hourly rate for the 3 hours your r there. This still applies if you are paid on a salary they will just break it down to hourly pay and pay u for every hour that you do a KIT, but yes unfortunately they are apart of the maternity policy and there for only count during maternity leave

As others have said, it needs to be taken during the maternity leave period. I would check with your company how they would pay it. For example mine said they would pay a full day regardless of how many hours I worked. Others aren’t as flexible from what I’ve seen/heard
