Help

Nearly 3. Speech delayed. Day 1 - basically me popping her on potty whenever she was going or I thought she was going. Mostly caught the end of each pee. Noticed she goes every few hours, which I thought was perhaps helpful for training. She happily sits and finishes her wees. Does not wee on potty unless she has already started Day 2 - she had more fewer ‘smaller’ wees. Realised this was before an imminent poo!! She didn’t like the idea of sitting on the potty, I guess it’s a bit odd seeing a big poo! I feel like perhaps she isn’t ready? Or… is this all okay?? Do I keep going? I’m not sure I can stay indoors with her naked down much longer - for both our sanity! Getting ready for day 3 tomorrow!!

All of that sounds normal to me! Poor are very strange for them so normally take a little longer to get the hang off. We spent 3 days inside and then ventured out on day 4 only to the local park quickly, immediately after a wee. It was tough going! ❤️

@Sam thank you! Was your little one getting to the potty to wee on day 3 or just you popping them on?

She started going by herself but needed a lot of encouragement to help her remember. Were 3 weeks in now and she’s fairly good but doesn’t quite leave herself enough time to get to the potty and pull down her trousers 🤦🏻‍♀️
