Going back to work

I’m back at work after 3 and half months off. It’s not enough time I know but that’s the financial situation we are in. I’m working from home at the moment 2 days a week then full time in sept. I’m struggling so much because I hear her crying and I just want to get her. I had to stop my meeting with my manager as my mum couldn’t work the bottle warmer. I’ve been in tears yesterday and today. Has anyone else gone back to work? How are you coping?

I did when my little man was only 3 months old. And yeah it was hell. But my husband is off with him so I just have to trust that he knows what he's doing. And I had to go back in the office full time for 3 weeks and now my team has been made full time remote, so at least I'm around. But those weeks away were awful. Now we're settling into a routine together though and I feel like we're killing it even if I'm jealous that my husband is now getting all the bonding time that I had to give up.

Thank you, it’s good to know there’s someone else in the same boat

Just interviewed today and will be going once the checks are completed 😌

I’m grateful that I don’t have to go back to work yet. But my mum went back to work full time when I was 3 months old and we’re super close and I believe it had literally no impact on our bond/attachment. Thought I’d share so you have the perspective from the baby! You’re doing a great job doing what’s needed for your family at this time, hats off to you mama x
