Upset

Hey mama I had an episiotomy too and it’s tough looking in the mirror for the first time. You’re only 8 weeks PP and your body will continue to amend post birth so give it time ok ❤️ I just made sure to have midwives check my stitches often to ensure they hadn’t split.

@Freya I did go about 4 weeks when I thought the stitches had spilt she said looked normal; to me it 100% didn’t look normal and was in a lot of pain but they didn’t seem bothered now worried it was actually split, looks a mess 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m hoping will come together abit more :/

If you’re really worried it doesn’t look right deffo go back and push for a second opinion

Ughhh it's rather worrying isn't it. Mine is very much like this, I've had 2 mindwives and a doctor look at mine as I was concerned in had prolapsed as I could see up my vagina canal and I could see a buldge but apprently very normal this early on and to give ourselves alot longer than the 6 weeks everyone says it takes, my doctor suggested waiting another couple of months and if not closed and feels normal then to review it again. You know your own body tho so if you are really concerned just go back to the doctors. I would suggest not to look again for a while as it causes anxiety and there's really not much we can do but wait. X
