Progesterone suppositories

I was on these but ended up inserting them in my rectum instead. I probably wouldn't have sex while they're in your v 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was told you can still have sex by my consultant, because I do mine after my last toilet trip of the day if we have sex it’s before I use the suppository anyway x

Though men have progesterone themselves and need it, the amount is low. Additional Progesterone exposure by the suppositories through sexual absorption can affect men negatively, specifically libido but can potentially have other side effects as well. It also lowers the amount of progesterone absorbed by you. There is a double blind study on it published in journal of endocrinology. In my case we abstained completely and stopped oral sex as well. If you can’t do that p, maybe consider a condom? X
