As long as he’s still having wet diapers, and it’s not a high fever I wouldn’t worry. Ear pain sometimes accompanies the molars so I wouldn’t be surprised if his temples hurt too, especially if it’s too molars
New research shows teething doesn’t cause true fevers… <100 can happen but if it’s 101 it’s not from teething. I would get his ears checked for an infection.
@Shannon I agree with this. This high of a fever is not due to teething. He must have just cough some virus. Either respiratory or digestive
He hasnt had a fever above 100 since that one reading but continues to be “off” and pulling at his jaw, complaining about his eyes/temple hurting, and overall irritable. Dont think its a virus as there is nothing else wrong with him, no ear pain, no throat pain, no cough, no boogers…nothing. He’s peeing normal, pooping normal, sleeping normal, and eating normal 🤷🏻♀️
You can always check him for Covid to be sure. Kids have little symptoms with it. And there is that big spike of Covid right now
I would definitely take him to his pediatrician asap.
Just FYI now that I got back from the pediatrician and confirmed absolutely no infections or virus of any sort…both bottom second molars and top second molars close behind can ABSOLUTELY cause a fever of “up to 102” per said pediatrician 🤣 for anyone else that passes by wondering and/or struggling with the same thing
My son has had a low grade fever with all his teeth. He also gets more frequent bowel movements too…
