Mosquito bites when pregnant

I’m 19 weeks pregnant and have been eaten alive by mosquitos at a BBQ last night. Google says I need to contact a GP or my midwife as this could cause issues for the baby. Has anyone else done this? I don’t want to sound over worried on the phone for no reason if I don’t need to

Following as I have also been bitten quite badly recently and didn’t even think to google it 😅

I get bitten all the time, just super sweet blood I guess. I have a bite zapper which takes the itch away and have an antihistamine if needed.

They were out in full force last night 🥴. Huge annoying things. I’d either consult out of hours/pharmacist, & see what they can suggest.

I would have thought in the UK mosquito bites aren't a huge concern, but you could call 111?

I’ve been bitten so much both here in the UK and Croatia the last few weeks - I didn’t even think about it being a concern 😳 Let us know if you contact them and what they say.

To all that commented - spoken to my midwife today! She has said that it’s not something to be concerned about unless you get weird reactions to the bites in which case to call back
