Diaper change

My toddler hates getting his diaper changed since he was a baby. Since he’s older it’s getting so hard to change him lately I have to put my energy into singing or distracting him but it’s getting to the point where I’m so exhausted. I want to try to potty train but he doesn’t seem one bit interested. Any moms going through this?

My toddler also is not fond of super changing and he’s recently started ripping his diapers off himself to now I have to keep him clothed always. When my first born began giving us trouble we swapped to pull ups. While it’s less convenient than diapers because you have to take their bottoms off for the change it does make the child part of the process, you can encourage them to pull their pull up down and off or help you to pull a new one up. Also they may respond more positively to be wiped standing up. Good luck either way

Have you tried pull ups vs regular diaper? My son went through a stage a while back and I was able to change him standing up (pee only) and that made it much better. Now that he’s involved in his diaper change (I ask him to lift his butt or legs) he’s more into it and less combative

Pull ups !!!! Sorry this is late reply but my son hates being change when we are out and pull ups have been my life saver!!!!
