Toilet accident

Please no judgement I already now have toilet locks and door stays shut. The other day my lo grabbed toilet paper out of the toilet and put it in mouth I caught it right away the second it touched. But I am now freaking out! She’s not sick and acting normal but I’m on antibiotics std and I’m so worried I talked to my provider and said it can’t be transferred that way and honestly I don’t even remember if I had used the bathroom or my sister (we don’t flush at night if it’s pee because it is so loud and right next to room). Should I be worried and get a second opinion or just let it go since couldn’t be mine and they’re acting fine?

Get a second opinion to ease your mind

Better safe than sorry. 🫶🏾

I’d talk to baby’s doctor just for peace of mind personally. I’m not sure which std you’re being treated for but they’re not all equal so hard for us to give best judgement.

@Angel chylmadia I’m almost done with antibiotics. They told me it can’t be transferred by urine/live outside of my body. And I hear the facts but my anxiety always gets the best of me

It was less the urine I was concerned about but the vaginal secretions etc that could’ve been on the tissue. Chlamydia doesn’t live long outside the body; and on top of the you’re almost finished with the antibiotics so the infection shouldn’t be shedding as much. Is there automatic cleaner in the toilet? My opinion: Your little one should be fine, at the worst id imagine a tummy ache, there are tons of germs in toilets. But more than likely they won’t have any notable symptoms if they’re an otherwise healthy child. I understand your anxiety. I’m not a doctor; but if it eases your mind, I’ve worked years as a medical assistant and am currently studying for my masters in public health.

@Angel thank you! that’s my thought since she’s been acting completely fine thankfully, I was worried about the germs too.

Caught my 18 month old drinking out the dog bowl last week 🤦🏽‍♀️ toddlers are gross 😂
