Thrush.

This entire pregnancy I have had the worst thrush EVER. Never had issues with it before, I don’t wear fancy dancy underwear. My loose granny knickers are my best friend but for some reason the thrush won’t go away. The heat probably isn’t helping and I’m aware women with gestational diabetes are more likely to have thrush. Any tips/ tricks? Anything else I can do to help. Has anyone had the canestan Pessary and has it helped?

Try going to bed with no undies on & when your around the house if you can that should help 🤞🏽 xx

It’s been a massive issue in this pregnancy for me too 😫 sounds so strange to some but to try and prevent as much as possible I’ve stopped wearing underwear… I’ve been prescribed the canestan Pessary a few times and does help symptoms x

I’ve had this as well, been prescribed the pessaries 3 times but they did nothing for me. My midwife recommended that I try probiotics, and take 2 per day since I’m close to the end of pregnancy. I’ve been taking them for 3 days and I thinkkkk they’re helping! It’s so annoying isn’t it. I hope it clears up for you!! X

Pessary is the best, it relieves it overnight. Fully recommend

@Crystal 100% agree

Cranberry capsules!! And cranberey juixe. Holland and barrett sell tablets and they will soothe as well as the juice xxx

ALOT of cranberry juice( if it dosent affect pregnanacy 🤷🏽‍♀️) like a whole bottle at a time if you can for a couple of days .

Prescribed the canestan in my last pregnancy and also advised probiotics things to eat so I ate like the natural yoghurt every day a couple of times a day, drank hot water with lemon and squeezed into it and even sometimes but yoghurt down there at night to calm it down. It worked x
