My little boy had a spell of doing this. I just dried my hands on my clothes or hand towels if available and he eventually got over it. I think hearing the hoover which he’s never been bothered by and also the hairdryer which he was a bit unsure of at first helped him get used to that sort of noise

My LB was terrified of them until afew months ago!

Yeah, I just dry my hands on my dress 😅 she has always been a bit nervous of sudden sounds, we were given a noisy toy when she was born and after 18months of trying it with her we gave up and donated it. Both me and my mum can be quite sensitive to sounds so maybe it's genetic 🤷‍♀️

Yep. Still terrified 😂

Yes petrified x

Yeah my little girl was. I just used them and laughed while I did, or picked her up and dired hands one at a time and put her hand under as well so sje could feel the wind, and laughed and said things likeoh that's very loud isn't it? Say shhh machine. Then take my hands away sonit would go off after saying shh and telling her oh wow it worked, you did it yay! Or I would warn her first mummy needs to dry her hands and theres going to be a big noise ready? 1, 2, 3 oh my goodness what a lot of noise. And keep smiling and laughing. She would look a bit unsure, but would see me laughing and stop crying and do a kinda half laugh. Now she's okay with them. X
