Requesting your information from the Womens

Has anyone ever had to request their information from the womens? How have you found it? Was it easy? Some backstory Back in August 2021 I had my little boy at the womens via emergency c section, however all my antenatal and postnatal care was whiston. He was only born at the womens because whiston was full and closed šŸ˜³so had to go to the womens. When they discharged me they said they would let whiston know and send my notes. Which I know at the time they didnā€™t as my boy was 3 days old and whiston rang me to see where I was and if I was going in for my induction. And I had an appointment at Whiston the other day and the womens still havenā€™t sent my notes to them so they still havenā€™t got anything on my babyā€™s birth even though it was nearly 3 years ago!! And ideally whiston and I need all the information to make a fully informed decision. And so I think the only way now is by me requesting the information from the womens.

I haven't, but I'd love to, I had my son via emergency section, can't remember much. Would definitely like to know what happened!

@Samantha I emailed this address informationgovernance@lwh.nhs.uk last night I found it from the link below so you could do the same, thereā€™s also an address to write to. I just wondered if anyone has done it and had anything back and if it was straight forward or if they make it difficult šŸ„“ https://www.liverpoolwomens.nhs.uk/patients/access-to-information-we-hold-about-you

@Samantha I donā€™t remember much about mine either and definitely want to know what happened and the reasoning cause I just say itā€™s cause his head was a funny shape but I donā€™t know if that is the actual reason šŸ„“šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøx

I just cannot remember much. I've since had a planned section there and had an amazing experience but would love to know the ins and outs of what happened with me and my boy šŸ„ŗ xx

Yeah I got my records, mine was a pretty straight forward induction with a shoulder dystocia at the end so nothing I didnā€™t really know, but they also sent all the scan images too. I emailed them and got the files (in email form) after about 6/8 weeks I think x

Not the womenā€™s but I did for Arrowe Park. The email address should come up if you Google. I had a nightmare getting mine back. Said it would take 1 month I ended up waiting 5. Only got them after going to PALS. X
