Potty training whilst out

My little boy, not quite 3 yet.. has cracked potty training at home the past 2 weeks. Always just takes himself or lets me know he needs to go. He does struggle when we leave the house though, either holds it until we get back home or has an accident and only tells me once he is already weeing. Any advice? I’ve always got the same potty with me that we use at home, I take it out.. he knows we don’t wee in our undies and doesn’t like it so if he does have an accident he tells me straight away but I’m not sure if it’s a fear of doing it somewhere else or if he thinks he can only go at home. I’ve no idea, but he starts pre school in September and I’m getting worried. Thanks x

So my little boy was kind of the same at one point and now he never wears nappies during the day and doesn’t have any accidents! What I did when we started going out without nappies is we started by just walking round the block and constantly asking and reminding about if need a wee tell me etc and gradually we went further and further away from home without nappies again just constantly asking him if he needs a wee. My little boy holds his willy when he needs a wee aswell I’ve noticed so try look for his ques of when he realises he needs a wee and when you see it be like right let’s have a wee! If I’m honest aswell it’ll probably just click, it did with my LO anyway, I just thought f it let’s go out for the day without anything and it legit just clicked and since then he’s been nappy free! Only very recently has having a poo in the toilet clicked tho so that might take a bit longer xx

We started potty training last week, if we go out I say I need to go to the toilet so we find a toilet I set up her potty whilst I go and I find she's happy to then go.
