Have peanut butter with everything haha apple and peanut is a great snack to ease the sweet and savory cravings. Also vinegar is great for helping keep the levels lower. So I covered alot of my food in vinegar or had a spoonful of it after I finished my food! It wasn't pleasant but it helped haha

Sweet potato!! It is so so good for helping keeping sugars down during mealtimes instead of having carbs. Then you can find something tasty to have afterwards x

Are you just diet controlled? I

I also agree with peanut butter if you don’t have an allergy. It was perfect for sweet cravings.

Whole grain porridges and pasta help reduce craving for snacks a lot. I was on diabetes diet for 5 months last pregnancy

@Lila yeah, I’m 39 weeks today, had bloods 2 days ago that were literally borderline.. cut off was 39 and I was 39. So currently just trying to change diet up a little x

@Robyn honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much then. Like don't overly stress. The week before I was induced i was eating little bits of chocolate and the odd handfuls of crips. The jumbo oats are a great breakfast with canderel if you like sweet things, has to be the jumbo oats though as they break down slower releasing the sugar slower. I was borderline too, one point over ha don't be to strict with yourself, pregnancy is stressful enough! The odd little spike won't harm you or the baby ! C

I used to have a glass of milk before bed and it helped with the fasting reading in the morning too! X

I had to do it from week 28 the first time and week 10 now.. the only good thing for me was that I was thinner after pregnancy than before (just looking at the only perk there was ;))

I had gestational diabetes and im honestly still traumatised from the experience! It has put me off having anymore! Cheese & eggs & mayonnaise should be your best friend for the next week. If you have a sweet tooth look up gestational diabetes uk. They have plenty of advice and recipes that are all paired❤️

Also bring gestational friendly snacks and lucozade sports sugar free for when you go into labour. They'll check your bloods every hour x

@Christina what snacks did you take xx

I actually hadn't prepared snacks for mine. I went in for a scan and never left😂 the only thing i had ready was the lucozade sport. But I did have freedos in my bag that they let me have one when I ran out of energy. If you look on the website I sent I think it has ideas. But anything high in protein & fat and low in sugar and calories. I tnink i seen fridge raiders and peporami is good and cheese? If you're being induced hospitals don't cater for gestational diabetes either.. ph and peanut butter and apples. I'll have a snoop when my son goes for his nap and get back to you x

Taken an hour after eating as told x

An hr after eating has to be below 7.8 But some trusts get you to test 2.hours after meals and some people do spike testing when trying new things so testing every 15 minutes I never done that if I'm honest. X
