I started creeping up, then had a week of 3 out of range readings. I started drinking this (at the suggestion of someone else on this app) every night right before going to bed and have been in range ever since, with some days - even in the high 70s! My fasting numbers were consistently high so I was put on insulin, I cried… but tbh the needles so small I don’t feel it and can even do it myself now (I’m one of those who has to lie down for blood tests and has refused every injection in my adult life) xx
It is the most difficult to do anything about. This is my 2nd gd pregnancy. First I ended up on Metformin and insulin. This time, I was diagnosed and a week after testing they've put me straight back on both again. Started Tuesday, and Friday got my first in range fasting. I get it, the idea of medication especially insulin is scary, but having gone through it twice now it really isn't as bad as it sounds. It isn't your fault if you need medication, and it will help with readings if you need it.
Unfortunately those ones are rarely in your control and insulin is usually the answer. Have you tried high protein snacks before bed?
