Menopur

Anyone that's used menopur, how bad is the stinging sensation? Someone I follow on Instagram said it was painful/uncomfortable for them and I'm curious if that goes for a lot of people or if it's a 50/50 chance of it stinging for me.

I’ve had 11 Rounds of ivf and found taken menopur ok either they or I got used to it , lol I would say change the injection site ie opposite side to stop tenderness from bruising xx

@Kaitlin I used to have a stinging sensation for menopur.. it only lasts for a few secs though just while it’s being injected. Usually there is no after pain as such, there is a 50/50 chance .. because a few of the others that I had consulted had no pain

It definitely stings going in but I found icing the area really well before and after helped.

Not sure if dosage matters here, but I was doing combo medications, only 75ml of menopur. It hurt going in, but not too bad. Definitely recommend having your ice pack handy and laying down after.

I took menopur and found it fine, I didn’t ice the area either. Just wanted the injections to be over with as quick as possible. I wouldn’t compare yourself to anyone else as everyone feels pain differently. The needles are so tiny they honestly aren’t that bad at all. (And this is from someone who used to be terrified of needles and cried during my first blood test)

I used menopur and didn’t find it painful or notice a sting.

I didn’t really notice a sting when I used it.

I used to ice before the injection so never felt much of a sting! Only every now and again! I used to massage the area and the stinging would go almost immediately x
