Kit days!

Has anyone done any kit days with work yet? If so was it a full working day or just meetings/training?

I did 6 KIT days before I started back. It was a mixture of both but as they’re paying you it’s whatever they want it to be that they think will be most useful to you/ them. X

I did all 10 before starting back, I think it depends on where you work but mine were super chill with most of the emphasis on getting used to being away from baby and getting used to being back in the office. I did any online training that had expired and lots of little jobs, but there was no expectation of work load until I started back properly

I did 5 before going back to work, 1 a month up until my last month before I went back. Mine were longer days than I expected, most days were 10-4. Loads of people told me I would go in for an hour or 2 and go home, but that never happened for me. I didn't do too much work though, just mostly catching up with people and being invited to meetings so new people knew who I was

Yeah I’ve done 4 half days and one full day. My first one I literally did nothing just had a chat and watched someone (they’ve changed systems since I went on maternity leave) so I don’t know how to use it 🤣 Then the others my manager was in and she was piling on the work load already 🫣 but it was nice to have other things to focus on other than my son tbf. And it’s helped me prepare for when j go back at the end of the month x

I’ve done 8, some have been shorter days but some I’ve done full days so I’m out the house for almost 12 hours 🥺 and I have had to do proper work! Lol!

I used 20 half days, either for meetings or just to pop into work and keep in contact with colleagues or helping in the shop for a few hours when they were short staffed x

I’ve done 1 a month / every 2 months. It’s mostly just catching up with colleagues, clearly down backlog of emails and doing some online training packages x
