How long do you have to stay in hospital with GBS?

I just delivered on the 8/2 I delivered at 4:03 pm. Babies tests all came back perfect and we got discharged at 6pm on the 8/3. Some drs want to monitor for 48 hours after birth and some see the baby is thriving and feel comfortable enough to go ahead and discharge.
I had my son at 10:07pm on the 25/4/24 and was let go the next day in the evening! 26/4/24! Xx
6hrs as long as I had two rounds of antibiotics, if I had only one I would’ve been in for 12hrs :)
With my first we stayed in for 3 nights after delivery, precautionary, as I spiked a temperature during labor, with my second he got GBS so had 5 days of IV antibiotics and we left a week after I gave birth. I had antibiotics during labor for both, just unfortunately didn’t help!
With my daughter I had her in midwife unit and the guidance and what I did was 12 hrs stay. With my son, I chose not to have the antibiotics and have him at home and so it wasn’t an issue but people were around for a few hours after he was born and back the next morning so he was probably monitored until 3 hours and then again at 10/11 hours.
