Gestational Diabetes

Has anyone been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes late on in pregnancy? If so, what’s being put into place for you? As in, are you being induced early or…? I’ve not tested as of yet but this is the 3rd time I’ve had glucose in my urine and they’re referring me again at 37 weeks 😅

I was diagnosed at 36weeks and was put on insulin and induced at 38 weeks bang on xx

I was diagnosed at 37+4 with my first by a scan showing baby having bigger measuring belly & glucose etc so was just induced there & then as he was measuring 8lb 8oz already. With my 2nd who’s due in September, I started testing at 10 weeks which confirmed GDM and scheduled to be induced at 37 weeks xx

Yep. I was diagnosed at 37 weeks and I had to do finger prick tests after each meal. I wanted to go as long as I could but I couldn't avoid induction - was induced at 40+5 (2 days ago) and still waiting to meet the baby!!

I was diagnosed at around 35 weeks and put straight on insulin, being induced today at 38+3 🥹

@Jodie Awh all the best! 🥰 I’m yet to hear back but they have sent me a text with a link on how to do the prick test so I’m assuming they’re wanting me to do the same!

@Hafsa All the best for today!! 🥰

Thanks everyone! They’ve sent me a text on how to do the prick test for glucose so I’m assuming I’ll have to do this! 😌 best cut down on the chocolate 🤪

@Kerri good luck! Portion sizes at dinner was the thing I found hardest to control - once you get that all under control it's fine 😊

@Jodie you know what, I never finish a meal! I honestly thing it’s because I’ve ate so much chocolate and sweets over the past few days 😂 just can’t help myself ahah
