IVF success after multiple failed IUI’s

Hi, is here anyone who had multiple failed iui cycles but got pregnant with IVF? Did the doctor ever found a reason why iui didn’t work? Curious and hopeful to hear your stories. Thank you ☺️

We did 5 iui cycles, all failed. Did one round of IVF, egg collection was at the beginning of April, we got 18 eggs, only 3 of those were mature and fertilised and only one made it to day 5 and was able to be frozen. Very good quality too. It had to be a frozen cycle as I had OHSS so couldn’t do a fresh. Did our frozen transfer in June and it worked. Currently 11 weeks and feeling so very lucky. Best of luck with your journey! Xx

I didn’t do iui but did 5 rounds of clomid and it failed. I have done ivf and fell pregnant after failed embryo transfer and 3 miscarriages. I have pcos so always makes things harder but it turned out I didn’t ovulate, I have low progesterone and had a blood disorder that killed the embryo an needed blood thinners. Once all that was sorted and steady we fell pregnant again and we are 26 weeks. Stay positive and hopefully it’s a hard journey but you will get there remember that x

After 3 years of TTC naturally and multiple fertility work ups we had unexplained infertility. Literally everything came back normal, zero explanation, I have regular cycles. Did 2 IUIs that failed, then 2 rounds of IVF to bank embryos. Did our first embryo transfer (frozen) in May, and am almost 14 weeks ☺️.

IUIs are just much less successful than ivf. We choose to not try one due to the stats and having insurance cover both it didn't make sense to us. Having an iui not work definitely doesn't mean you won't be successful

Thank you so much everyone. This gives me hope! 🫶
