There's loads of stuff you can do working for yourself tho, like dog sitting, tutoring etc and all of that is classed as self employed. I've seen other women say they do delivery driving for evri a few hours a week and irs classed as self employed, so there's quite a lot you can do
As others have said, any self-employed job is fine, but not PAYE. OR if you're on MA you cannot work at all. You do have to also check your current job doesn't stipulate that you can't work as that can effect SMP

If you get another job, you'll lose SMP. You're fine to run a business or sell things but just not get a part-time job.
