Advice

looking for advice: Hi there! Looking for anyone in HR or knows anything about employment law. @Basically I was meant to be paid my maternity pay and the remainder of my holiday pay on the 5th of August. I handed my notice in a month prior as I am unable to return to work at this time. All was well, they were lovely. I received my payslip and my p45 through email but I haven’t actually been paid into the bank. The company have started to use a different accounting team and I’ve heard other employees have had issues. I contacted my bank just to double check it wasn’t an error on my behalf- the bank told me there was no blocks on my account and the systems were all working fine. Other employees with the same bank had been paid. I emailed work to let them know what the bank said and they have basically told me they’re looking into it. It’s now the 7th and I’ve still not been paid, I’ve been on the phone to them and they have said it’s gone to people higher up and it’s out of their hands. No one is telling me anything. I don’t know when I am going to be paid and I have an 8 month old daughter who needs formula, nappies and all the essentials. I am a single parent and I don’t have anyone to be able to buy those things. I am now in my overdraft as some bills have come out. What do I do? What can I do? I don’t know my rights. I have told them I want to make a complaint as this is absolutely ridiculous. I haven’t slept, I am stressed and exhausted. I have sent lots of emails, called and exchanged messages with the admin team, someone from accounts and my manager and I still have no clue what’s going on. The issue is they’re saying they’ve processed it and essentially paid me but there’s an error somewhere because I haven’t been paid. I cannot go into the work place as I live 300 miles away so everything is over the phone and on email. I do believe they know it’s a problem on their end as they keep saying they’re looking into it and seeing what’s happened. I have asked several times for tracking details (the bank said they may be able to track a missing payment) but they keep ignoring this part of my email. someone please help! I feel like they don’t understand my frustration. Thank you x
