Mater VS Royal

I’ve chosen maternity care at the royal but just been given my booking in appointment (scheduled for almost 14 weeks) in the mater hospital. Will this be a once off? I want to attend the royal for my appointments it’s much more accessible for me!! Also my appointment is a Thursday which is one of the only days I work, in your experience will they all be Thursdays?

Mine where Fridays in the royal. It might just be at the mater due to not enough spaces in the royal. I'd ring the appointment line and see if you could change it just tell them that you can't get out of work (due to it being short notice) even though your employer legally has to let you out for them

I tried that and she said she would have to just cancel that one and wait on another slot it would be even later and I’ll already be almost 14weeks! Hoping I can switch to the royal after this first appointment, Fridays would be perfect

I would prefer working days lol as you can get out for all the appointments while still being paid! Maybe just me 😂

My first appointment was at Mater and then the rest were at the Royal. I think a lot of the initial appointments and very first scans are done at Mater and then transferred to Royal as that's where you will give birth :)

My only appointments in the Mater were the 12 weeks and 28 week. The 20 week scan was in the royal and the rest were with my community midwife which I chose for them to be in Lagan valley! All my appointments have been Mondays!
