For people with double names

If you have a double first name i.e John Paul or Jamie-Lynne etc. does it irritate you if people just use the first name? I have one of these types of names and it irritates me so much and I dunno why. I know it sounds silly but it grinds my gears so much. I've thought about responding to her message only using half her name but that would make no sense right? That's pretty isn't it... 🤣Ugh just annoys me a lot.

🤣🤣🤣 it's petty but my kinda petty lollll. I have a double first name (Aamira Aaliyah), but it's too much of a mouthful to say it all so I'm used to people just calling me Aamira, but that's me. I understand if you are like, "nah bump that" lol

my name is Summer-Rose and it aggravated me so much when people use my double barrel and not just Summer. but that may just be because it makes me sound like some fairy princess and in reality i am the complete opposite to my name 🤣

@Summer-Rose when I got pregnant at 16 the only name that kept popping in my head for my daughter was summer. Ended up being a boy lol. But each time I get pregnant I think of the name summer if it’s a girl, even just now at 30! I have no idea why lol. But it is a very cute name! However, me and my partner were going to name this last baby Wynter Rose instead. Not a double tho, middle name rose.

@Cassie i think it’s such a nice name but growing up all i heard were petty jokes like “hey winter” or “where’s autumn” or “hi winter flower”. just got boring for me hahaha. they aren’t even mean jokes but just repetitive and annoying eventually. i think it’s a much more common name now though and would be really cute i just personally don’t think i suit ‘summer-rose’ and always got upset coz there’s not many nicknames to go with it 🤣
