Potty training for a year!

So it’s coming up to one year since we started potty training, and although my LG fully understands how to use the toilet/potty, will (mostly) tell us when she needs to go, if we ask her to go she never refuses (so she’s not fearful or anything) yet she still has so many accidents. Some days she has none and others she will have 2/3! On average though she definitely has multiple a week. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same or any tips?

Just to add as well I know toddlers will still have accidents at this age, but I thought it would be a lot less frequent by now for how long she’s been potty training

Sounds like she isn't able to hold it in fully yet. But that's okay, she will get there. Is she getting distracted and just doesn't make it to the potty on time? Sometimes, even when a child has been potty trained, they can still have random accidents. Just have to reassure them and clean it up

We're in a similar boat. Started potty training in Jan, so not quite as long, but still have frequent accidents. In retrospect, whilst I think he was physically ready for potty training in Jan (was dry by the second day and going independently) he didn't really have any real motivation to use the potty. Once the initial novelty of potty training wore off he got bored of it. He has no interest whatsoever in being a "big boy". At first he was upset and embarrassed when he had accidents but now he just doesn't care. We've considered going back to nappies several times, but then he'll go a long stretch being dry. I'm not sure at what point it will just click.

We are in exactly the same boat we been doing it since Easter did really well initially now he just can’t be bothered. I have to remind him to go all the time. He’s perfect with poo but still has accidents and dribbles from wee. Very frustrating as he doesn’t really care if he’s wet. Tried rewards etc but nothing seems to work
