Talk !

I remember getting my period very young I was in 4th grade I stayed behind a grade in kindergarten. My mom told me what a period was.how to clean after yourself. But I felt embarrassed I felt like I was the only one taking a pad to the restroom I would hide it in my pocket or sweater my mom didn’t make me a little bag like this. I don’t even remember trash cans in the restroom stall. I remember a group of so call friends told me I smelt (in a ugly way) I thought maybe it was my pad I wouldn’t change it many times because I was embarrassed to ask to go to the restroom all the time.

I was 9, my mom found me crying and she told me "this happens to everyone (not even every women but everyone) here are some pads, I'll put them here for you" and that was it

I was 8 when I first started remember crying and told my mum to say goodbye because I believed I was dying till it all got explained and my sister in law gave me a fancy tin to put pads into but unfortuantly didn't work for me as flow was so heavy I had to use big night time pads and yeah I got told I smelt when was on because the iron smell was so heavy

@Sophie awwww!

I was. 7 and started in church 🤦‍♀️on the chair when they where preaching

I was in 4th grade I was lucky enough that we had our ladies menstrual talk at school a couple weeks before hand. I actually started on Mother’s Day while visiting family and when we got home I knew what it was but my sister didn’t and started crying to my mom that I was dying I had a few pads from that class and my mom gave me some of her extras before buying me my own pack

I was 8 and my older sister had to teach me how to use a pad bc my mom was out of town 😩

@Patience my sister started hers at 16 so I wonder if my mom just wasn't expecting me to have it early? But I wish someone would have 🥲
