There's nothing you can do to influence it, just depends which sperm gets to the egg first I'm afraid

So it’s up for debate wether this works or not, but has worked for me and a few others I know. They say that female sperms have more longevity than male sperms, so if you try to conceive a few days before ovulation or a few days after it, only the female will survive (you can Google if you’re unsure). 🫶🏻

There are some old wives tales about how to conceive a girl. But personally when I read through them, it made no sense to me how I conceived a girl at all 😂 I've heard if you are eating a higher fat diet around the time you conceive you're more likely to conceive a boy. I've also heard if you tend to be more stressed at the time you conceive it will more likely be a girl too. Not recommending you stress yourself out of course! 😅 I hope you do get your little girl ❤️

Nothing really you can do to "make yourself" conceive a girl.. it's all in what your body will accept.. some women's bodies only accept male sperm some only accept female sperm and some accept both and you just gotta wait. You can try the Chinese calendar it's been right for both my babies.. but still not always accurate (my mom looked at one and it wasn't accurate at all for the genders she had 😅)

It depends on what you believe someone who studied psychology told me for a boy you do it once and done and for a girl you have to keep doing it.

Following, I lost my first boy in 2023, then had a boy in may, i in no way want another baby rn because it’s too soon for us, and we’re still juggling having a baby for the first time, but I want a girl next because we only plan on having so many, so our next will probably be our last, last time I tried so hard even the day of ovulation and it seemed like nothing worked to get pregnant so I stopped trying and got a job and Bam found out I was pregnant again, and then bam found out it was another boy even tho I thought he was a girl

Nothing you can do. I did nothing different and have 2 boys , 1 girl and expecting another baby girl.

@Khushi what's psychology got to do with conception 😂

A somewhat recent study has shown that the first sperm that makes it to the egg doesn't necessary win and that the egg can actually reject/accept certain sperm, so unfortunately, that basically knocks out most "methods" of selecting the male or female. I have a boy and am now pregnant with a girl, both conceived by IUI so I didn't do anything differently and still ended up with one of each. It really is just a 50/50 chance! If you have the money for it, technically you could use IVF where they test the embryos ahead of time and would know if they're implanting a male or female embryo, but a lot of doctors won't do this due to ethical concerns.

@Grace gender selection is banned in many countries, it is in the UK where I am, we had IVF.
