Help please - do you like Rory?

Hi, we are thinking about the name Rory for our baby boy. Our surname sounds very similar to Gilmore ( it's Gilbert) so I'm worried people will associate it with Rory Gilmore from the Gilmore Gilmore. What do you think?

Slightly but the lastname being a boys name helps shift the gender neutral Rory more masculine which I think is nice You might also like Russell Gilbert Rowan Gilbert

My little boys middle name is Rory, we love it 🥰, it’s always made me think of a Lion! x

I don't like it because I find the double r's awkward for me to pronounce with the English r but also because I had a housemate called Ruairy who was a horrible horrible boy... Sorry 😅
