Fishy breath

Hi everyone! Please help me out with this! My son is 10 months old and he’s got 8 teeth 4 new ones at the top and 2 new ones at the bottom with his two middle ones out for a while now. I brush his teeth once a day for sure but usually the bedtime brushing gets him far too excited and he just doesnt feel sleepy afterwards so i try to brush his teeth after dinner but am discouraged because the latter. Hes been ill and had a nasty cough no temp for rhe past two weeks. Doctors said he was fine and the cough is gonna run its course. Buut i have been noticing his breath for the past couple days smells like fish although we havent given him fish recently. Should i call the gp again? Or dentist?

That’s exactly what’s been happening with my boy. He’s had a cough for a few weeks, went to the gp and they said he’s fine it’s probably hayfever making him snotty and irritating his throat. His breath started smelling a few days ago now. But all of a sudden this weekend he’s been really grotty and he’s gotten a temp. He’s started to cough up the phlegm and then kind of choking on it to then sick up his milk. I really don’t know what’s up with him and tempted to call the gp again this week at some point x

@Sadie omg exactly the same here. Mucus making him choke!! Went to GP and they actually prescribed him Allerief as his lungs looked good. Shed said his cough will persist for up to 8 weeks while getting better and better as the weeks go by. Finding that the allerief ie good bc its making him cough up all that mucus. Bless your boy and bless you hun, its tough when they are ill xx

Ooooh I might have to take him back then and see if they can prescribe him something. Fingers crossed the babes get better soon and we get some rest 😂🩷

Me too! Really snotty and smells like fish! Sooo weird!
