Back to work after mat leave

I’m due back to work in October but unfortunately I don’t have any childcare. The way my LG birthday falls I’m not entitled to the free 15hrs until January term time. I didn’t receive Matt pay off my employer i got maternity allowance from the government. The question I’m asking is from October last year to now I would have accumulated AL so does my employer have to give me this even if I hand my notice in?

Yes you should’ve still accrued holiday/had your holiday allowance as normal so you should be able either use it to extend your leave or cut your maternity leave short and then use holiday. If you leave the company, I think they have to pay you the holiday that you have accrued

I was on maternity allowance and I just quit my job because there’s no nurseries that have space and I also don’t feel ready for my little one to go to nursery. I got a letter saying I have 29 days holiday and will be paid for that next month x

I left my job after receiving MA and I got all my holiday accrued in a lump sum payment in the next pay packet.
