I’ve made my 2 year old a big sister basket! Put some bluey bed sheets, bluey toy, big sister jumper, a bracelet keep sake, a sticker book and a book called ‘you’re the biggest’ in it. I’m not sure she will understand but hopefully it will help her feel included!

We’re getting her a new baby doll that she can use to change its nappy and feed etc whilst I do it with the baby and also a few little toys just to keep her entertained when I can’t. We’re saying it’s off the baby but she probably won’t understand as she’s only 19m

My 18 month old is Obsessed with balls so we just got him a new football that has a lion on it - he won’t really understand too much yet and I think it’s the thing he’ll get most excited about 😅 Also got him a little duplo train set for dad to give him when they get home so he’s hopefully not too upset I’m not here

@Morgan that’s a great idea! Thanks 🙏🏼

@Jess ooh yes a doll might be a good idea. My son was playing with some at my mum’s and enjoying acting out caring for his babies 😊

@Allie ah that’s a good idea!

Mine is a bit weird. I'm getting him a walkie talkie. It was simply something he asked for one day cause he saw someone has it, and I told him his baby brother will bring him one when he arrived and he has been anticipating that. We'll also prepare a small chocolate (his favorite) which we are sure he will be delighted with. My eldest is 3.

My 2 year old is a proper mother hen, hugging all the babies at baby group and always hugging/kissing my bump. I asked her what she wanted to get for baby brother and she said a book and a 'hop hop' meaning a rabbit. I then scrolled through the jelly cat website with her to pick a teddy. As she has got baby a blue rabbit Teddy they have got her a matching yellow one. She has also got a big sister book, a chocolate lolly and little bracelet off etsy as she loves an accessory.

This is my first baby so not what I’m doing but my mum bought me a boy baby doll when my brother was born, so that I could change the nappy and basically copy my mum whilst she looked after my brother. She said it really helped as although I was interested in what she was doing she was able to redirect me to my doll when she was busy😊 I was around 2 and a half.

We’ve bought a new tonie for his new tonie box, wanted something small enough I could stick in her hand!

I asked my three year old what he would like his baby sister to bring him as a present and he said an elephant 😅 So I’ve put together a big brother bag with things to entertain him, that Elephant game where they have to catch the butterflies, a couple of new Tonies (Elmer the elephant being one), a big brother book, colouring book and a some of the polystyrene gliding planes that he loves ☺️

I got a care bear teddy each so they give one to each other, and chose ones with nice meanings so they both got the same thing but different, if that makes sense!

We’ve gone for a kids camera and a book about being a big brother 😊 He loves taking pictures with his tablet but this will be easier for him to use and I can’t wait to see what he captures (although it’ll probably be 100 pictures of a random spoon or something) 😅
