Has anyone started potty training yet? Or introduced the potty yet? If so how did you start?

I bought one today, popped her on it mid nappy change and she peed on it straight away! But she has also chucked it all around the room and tried to take it to bed, so I'm dreading if she picks it up after peeing in it 😂😂

We haven’t started potty training yet but we’ve had a potty in the house for a while now. We just let our LG play with it and she will sometimes sit on it when she’s watching TV. We do encourage her to sit on it before and/ or after the bath but I don’t want her to feel any pressure. I’d get one and just have it around, show your LO what to do and go from there. I got ours in Home Bargains, I was £3 x

@Ailsa 😂😂😂 ahh bless her!! Haha, so good that she did do a wee in it! This chapter is going to be full of surprises for sure 😅 x

@Mia amazing, thank you!! Ok I’m definitely going to get one now … just get her used to it and see if she’s interested! X

We’ve had a potty for a few months just around in whatever room we’re in, I put her on it at nappy change and if I see her doing a poop I put her on. She’s only done 2 poops on it currently but she has started to take her trousers down and tug at her nappy when she’s doing a wee so I think she’s getting the jist but not quite there yet

I bought a potty for my then 15 month old because it was in the sale and I thought what a bargain! I got home and set it up and just left it in my living room for him to get familiar with, then he started telling me he had pooped. Roll on to now, he has just turned 19 months old 3 days ago, and he has took himself to the potty 3 times today!! It's the first time he has done this!! This is with no forcing just familiarising with toilets and watching us all going the toilet. ( and I thought boys would be harder!) My middle child started potty training herself the week before her 2nd birthday so we rolled with that too. My first child was about 3 when she learnt to use the potty, that's why my middle child learned quickly I think watching her sister leaving too there isn't much age gap between them only 18 months. It is literally, Monkey see Monkey do!

@Olivia amazing! Thank you, I am going to get one this weekend and introduce it I think! ☺️ x

@Ashley Ward wow incredible! I was wondering if I was thinking it was too early but you’re so right… she loves copying me already so hopefully no difference here! I am going to get one at the weekend and introduce it x
