Please any tips to get little one to poop in potty or toilet

No tips I'm afraid we just had to keep persevering as she kept pooing her pants then after about 6-8 weeks she got it and no more accidents after that. How long have you been training for?

@Nikki only one week so not long at all it’s been tough though but seems like it will take longer than I had imagined

Following cos mines been like this since her turned 2! I'm getting worried cos school next year. Doesn't help that everyone, including the nursery, put a pull-up on him when he says he needs to poo.

Perseverance is my main advice. I found that not making a big deal out of it worked the best and just explaining that everyone poops. Let them come with you whilst you go etc, explain that it makes your tummy better x

Mine would do a poo in the toilet but not pee. We showed him the poo that goes home story in the app , found from an NHS website. It clicked after he saw it couple of times. I wish there was a similar one for pee too

I'm on twin number 2 (twin 1 was done in April) we are day 4 the 1st couple of days we had poos in potty last 2 days poo was in pants so now I'm thinking I have 6-8 weeks again of poo in pants. 🙄 The joys of potty training, just keep going and she will get it just takes time. I just keep saying poo poo goes in potty/toilet not in pants. Downside this time is twin 1 had harder stool so was easy to clean twin 2 has cowpats.

We had to bribe my son. It did only take the week but he was consistently peeing in the potty or toilet but always pooping in pants. When we made him go commando he was getting worked up because he didn't want to poo on the floor. He was terrified to poo in toilet/potty. In the end I ended up telling him of he didn't do his poo in the toilet then I would need to call his friends mummy and tell her he couldn't come to the park. A lot of crying and me hugging him while done it finally pooped and then said oh that wasn't scary. He will not do it in the potty though has to be the toilet. Good luck x

Day 1 my son who I kept naked from the waist down was about to do a poo so u quickly put him on the potty and he did it there and cried after but then I praised him and he was happy. Day 2 (today) I left him for a few seconds and I found some poo on the floor but also in the potty! Also I'm constantly just sitting him on the potty so maybe that helps but he's also non-verbal so I'm happy with his progress so far

My daughter was pooping in the pants for almost 4 months. She could pee pee in the toilet but won’t poop. I told her if she poops in the potty we can put sprinklers on her poop lol. Weird but it worked. Now she gets excited to see her poop in the potty and puts sprinklers on it and flushes. This was suggested to be by another mommy friend since it worked for her from get go.
