It is very important that you take them or you will not get rid of the infection and could get a lot worse and cause complications. You need to take the full dose too. If you struggle see if there are options the doctors can provide for you but don't mess about with infections.

If you have a bad reaction to the antibiotics, let your GP know and see if there's another one they can prescribe instead

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ureaplasma_parvum Apparently a normal part of the female microbiome. You can take antibiotics for it though if you're concerned. It's not a STI/STD but can cause UTIs and can be passed to your baby. Personally never heard of it.

@Jasmine to any antibiotics i take i’ll throw up all day everything and anything i tried to eat or drink but my doctor continues to try and give them to me

@Bethan my vaginal infection went away the day i got my meds i used one dose of the cream he gave me but the bv or yeast infection had already been running it’s course for a week before i could get an appointment

It says group b strep isolated, I’d say if the antibiotics were for that too you definitely need them, that can be really dangerous for newborns x

It can be passed on to your unborn baby. My husband and I both had to take antibiotics for ureaplasma parvum. It should be noted as well that often times if you test positive for it, your sexual partner should get tested as well and get on antibiotics otherwise you will just be passing it on back and forth. ALSO, it can be asymptomatic so you might think there’s no infection but it’s still there. It can be pretty serious. It was causing fertility issues for us. We finally got pregnant after two rounds of antibiotics. Good luck.

Also, by not finishing a round of antibiotics, you are only killing the weaker bacteria and you can also be creating antibiotic resistance. It’s so important to finish the full round even if you start feeling better.

@Vicky i’ll start taking them tomorrow!

@Melissa the urealyticum is negative only the parvum dna is positive and it is natural to have it in your body and i’ve never had fertility problems i’ve had problems staying pregnant but we’ve already figured out why that is and have a very healthy pregnancy thanks to it and i’ve never had this test before so who knows if i’ve had it my whole life my doc wasn’t concerned about it at all or he would’ve talked to me about my results which he never did i just happen to look at them

I would suggest going back to your doctor as it’s been awhile since prescription

Just letting you know my experience since you asked “what does this mean” lol and it said detected. My Dr explained to me that it could be pretty serious so I went by what she said! Follow YOUR Dr over anything. Good luck ❤️

@Millie i got a new round of antibiotics from my doctor today my husband said he’ll take my old antibiotics that i never started just incase he has it as well as my doctor said i could give it to him
