Is it Covid?

So my cousins baby just tested positive for Covid Monday night. On Monday our babies spent the day together (she didn’t know he had Covid) my daughter has been so fussy during the night she woke up and I checked her temperature and it’s 100.8. She seems to be okay except that. I don’t know if it could be Covid or if it is because we believe she’s teething but we think she’s been teething for months now so idk if we just don’t know what teething looks like but her gums are swollen, she’s drooling EVERYWHERE, she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. So should I be worried this could be Covid or can we say it’s teething?

Hi so my 6 month old and I both have Covid right now. I also thought it was teething but then he was super fussy more than normal. We both have it super super bad to the point we’re coughing so hard we’re both throwing up. I would get your baby tested just to be safe. We ended up being admitted to the hospital and he was put on oxygen for a couple of days

Sounds like teething because my baby had 102 temp when she caught covid

My son didn’t have a fever but I do. Every baby is different if you think it’s Covid get her tested. If not just monitor her to see if symptoms worsen. At the end of the day trust your gut.

We have Covid and baby is fussy but fine- don’t freak out!

Can I do one of the at home ones on her?

I have a 5 year old one I’m going to do the test today to see so I was wondering if I can do one on her too

I’m sure you can. They do a nose swab at the hospital

Definitely going to do it and reach out to her pediatrician if it’s positive Fingers crossed everyone’s negative 🤞🏼

She tested positive 😭 My son is negative so he’s in his room I’m waiting for her pediatrician to call me back so we can decide on a game plan 😭

Did you do nose swab on baby?

Sorry to hear that :( but she’ll be ok!!

@Maddy yes I did
