Anyone left the nhs?

I’m currently a band 4 who was promised when I moved to my trust I’d be able to top up. 3 years later same excuse if there’s no funding. Yet they’re employing more nursing associates to be trained but no funding for after the training. I left a trust that would’ve topped me up. I honestly hate nursing. Constantly working on 3 qualified on acute respiratory ward with 2 healthcare a night. As a band 4 I’m taking too many responsibilities and I want to leave. Not just leave the my current ward but the nhs. I originally wanted to be a midwife but when the apprenticeship came up everyone told me I’d be great and I do love caring for my patients but I also feel like with the constant shortage I’m not giving my all. Some nights I’d have 11 patients and they’re ACUTE. Just wondering for those who have left what have they gone to do? Or those that are thinking of leaving? I’ve worked for the nhs since I was 18 I’m nearly 29..

I qualified as a midwife in 2016 but left promptly for a variety of reasons. I now do private lactation support and antenatal breastfeeding preparation classes. If you were considering midwifery have you considered being a Doula?

Following. I am a nurse, and have been qualified for 7 years. I want to get out and I want to do something completely different. However I have no idea what.....

Same @Nadine x

@Roze Healthcare is all I know. I am sure we have a lot of transferable skills, i just can't pinpoint what to do 🤣

What about private hospital or GP surgery? X
