Is Beatrice too old of a name ?

My partner and I are on our 3rd daughter I really like uncommon/ old fashion names . I don’t want my children to be one of 5 Ashley’s in a class type of thing I’m from a small town it happened ALOT. Anyways … my kids dad insists it’s too old of a name and thinks she’ll be bullied . What do you think? Any middle name suggestions?

Really cute. Can be Bea for short

I think it’s cute , you can also spell it Beatriz ?

I like Beatrice but I also like unusual/ uncommon names so probably not the best person to comment. Not sure about the bullying. You would like to think not but what about the name does your husband think can be pulled a part and bullied about (does it rhyme with anything horrible or any well known characters in books that aren't nice etc.) if it's just because it's not common I don't think that would lead to bullying. It depends on where you live and who you mix with as I find that influences the mentality of whether an uncommon name is something that they would find fault with and make an issue out of it. I also like the nickname Bea. It's cute.

It’s a classic name. I don’t know where you live, but Beatrice is in the top 100 names in the UK. Beatrice has cute nicknames too (Bee, Bea, Trixie) If kids want to bully, they’ll find something to pick on. Pick a name you love.

I love it as a name! Was on my list but husband didn't like it

It took me 7 years to convince my partner of the name Maggie because he kept saying it was an old person name 😂 the 'old' names are getting popular again - in baby groups etc I've seen Dorothy, Beatrice, Bertie (Albert), Peter, Agatha, Edie (Edith), Mabel.. etc. And we obviously have a Maggie. So there's no guarantee they will be the only one in class anymore!

Love itttt! Baby bea!

Love it! Was thinking about Bea for our little girl too!

I really like it ♥️

No its not, the traditional names are becoming popular again! I work with under 5's and have had Bertie, Calvin, Myles, Arthur, Mabel, Penelope, Martha, Clementine, Penny, Maggie, Elsie, Dottie, Minnie. My youngest I named Emmeline

Its beautiful but most people are too uneducated to spell it. I wouldn't be limited by people like that though Some people can't spell the simplest most common names like Bella

not at all! vintage names are really on trend at the moment, so loads of kids are being given more "old-fashioned" style names. i know a little girl named Beatrice - she's age 2/3 and goes by Bea, which really suits her. i also love Birdie as a nickname for Beatrice! 💕

@Madelina ♡ I know a little girl called Birdie but her real/ full name is Bernadette.

I teach a beatriz whose nickname is Bea xx

I like it, or a more unique option is my best friend’s name which is Beatrix? We call her Bea for short!
