Which one?! I've had the Kyleena and paragard. I had to get the Paragard out because it made my periods absolute hell, my cramps were excruciating, and I would bleed through an ultra tampon only 30 minutes of having it in. The Kyleena has hormones so it messed with my emotions absolutely horribly!! Definitely Tylenol and heating pad girl! I wish you the best ❤️❤️

I had two choices a copper IUD (which I didn’t want) and a hormonal IUD it’s called “Liletta.” I am worried about it messing with my hormones 😬

It's normal for there to be discomfort or some pain when they put it in but if it's excruciating or if it lasts more than a day or two, call your doctor!

You know how you feel at a baseline, so if something feels off tomorrow, or it continues to hurt, I would go back and have them check that everything is okay. I had the paraguard, and something felt off it’s hard to explain but even after it stopped hurting I could feel it there strangely, and my body had rejected it and it was stuck in my cervix

I had the Skyla for 9 years, changed every 3 years. Never had a period the entire time! No cramps, no spotting, no anything! It was great! … except now that I’m TTC and wondering if being on the IUD for so long has messed up my body.. because so far all negatives 🫤

I think I may one of the few that has managed to keep their paraguard so long 10.5 years, it took my about a year to mentally get used to it, I can feel it, I know it is there but it was worth the longevity and no hormones! Pain Meds, heating pad and rest really helped after it was placed. Give yourself mind and body a little time to adjust!
