How do you know it’s because she’s being mischievous? My daughter does this also. She looks at me and says I’m doing a wee and just freezes then looks down at her legs and the wee on the floor, ‘mama I did a wee’! I just say, ‘that’s right, but next time we feel a wee coming we go to the potty’. It’s just part of the process. They are learning to connect the feeling with the action. Be patient. She’s got this, and so do you. X
To add to what the others said sometimes they forget if they are busy until it’s too late, if she hasn’t been in awhile just ask if she needs to go.
Wouldn’t make a big deal out of it - I would say something like ‘did you forget you have a potty?!’ Try and keep it light hearted - bc if you get upset about it could make her more prone to do it - they sometimes at this age are just testing boundaries and if you react more to negative behaviours more so than positive ones then they’ll start ‘being naughty’ or ‘acting up’ bc that’s the easiest way to get your attention - or least that’s what I’ve noticed in my child and children around this age - I see that sometimes on days when im a bit short on patience he amps up the monkey business
