Anyone else have a small business?

My family owns a couple small businesses, but I think it would depend on the product type. I’ve ordered a number of things through Etsy that come with either a small gift or card/note and it always makes me want to order from them again. Also what’s worked for me with my littles is getting as much done as possible while they’re sleeping so I can be more present during their wake times. They’ve become great with independent play though and I try to work in the same room as them so that I can still engage (as well as watching of course). I’ll also let them help me with little things/give them opportunities to be a part of my work where I can. My mom worked 4 jobs to care for us kids and 2 were from home but it really helped that she did that with us. Some of my favorite memories are from when she was working 🥰

@ᴊᴇssɪᴄᴀ 🎗️ Awww... that's so sweet💞 my LO wake up every time I try to sneak away when they're sleep so it kinda hard to get stuff done when they're asleep. I wish that I could though it would really help. My customer usually leave reviews that they love the gift but I just hope I'm not spending too much you know I have a shopping problem I think no matter what it is smh

Have you been keeping track of your expenses and making sure that you're still making a profit after the gift?

@Rachel Honestly I don't know what I'm doing but the reviews say my customers are happy. I try to restock gift once a month but they're starting to run out faster

Lol I get that! I usually end up staying up really late after they go to bed 🙈 An idea that I’ve always loved too is just ordering some fun stickers in bulk and sticking one in each package as a little ‘gift’ - I always find that to be a fun surprise 🥰

@ᴊᴇssɪᴄᴀ 🎗️ Nice! I do stickers, pens & couple other things depending on order total. My problem is I don't want to be spending too much you know. When I try to stay up after they've fallen asleep I always see my little shadow about 30 minutes in if that🤣😩

Happy customers are always a good thing! It's important to make sure you're making a sustainable profit and not losing money, though. I'd be happy to help you figure out your costs and profits - I love a good spreadsheet lol

@Rachel Yes. Customers are definitely happy they always say so in the reviews and gets customers to leave reviews as well😊 That would be awesome because I'm literally just winging it here
