UTI / antibiotics
I’ve had symptoms of a UTI for the past week or so but struggled to get in contact with a doctor. I finally got in contact with one today however they gave me an over the phone appointment and prescribed me antibiotics there and then ?? Surely this isn’t ok and I’d need to do a urine sample ?!

I'd like urine sample prior to taking medication personally, wouldn't want to be taking it if I don't need it z
Yes call back, I had the same and I dropped off a sample. They then contacted me a couple days later to say I need antibiotics
@Laura even if the midwife can dip the urine it would be safer
Yeah I managed to get an appointment with my midwife on Friday thanks for your advice guys, I knew I wasn’t overthinking x
My midwife did a sample and sent result to surgery who issued a script direct to surgery. Took 4 days in total including a weekend x

I would definitely call back and ask for a sample to be tested. I’m 18 weeks and have had 2 lots of antibiotics for a uti and BV they diagnosed with a urine sample
