Teacher pay rise.

With the announcement of teachers getting a pay rise in autumn 2024, does anyone have an idea of what this will mean for teachers on maternity leave? I opted for equal payments for the 12 months so would this change them?

Following for updates! From what I’ve seen about the NHS rise, they can’t not give us it because we’re on maternity, but not entirely sure what it will actually look like!x

I think we are entitled to it. However, I assume that this only applies if we are still in our enhanced mat pay period? If you're on SMP by that point, I'm guessing we won't get the benefits until we return to full pay? That is me just guessing though...

It'd only affect maternity pay if you're in the enhanced period and not the SMP part as SMP is a set amount and it doesn't matter what your salary is.
