Birth control

I’m 32, never been on birth control bc of all the crazy side effects. Had my first pregnancy/baby in June. Was wondering which birth control option is best? Causes minimal side effects? I keep reading that they cause weight gain, anxiety, depression, weird feelings, etc. Please advise!

Condoms girl 😭 everything else is ridiculous

I take lo loestrin without any side effects. But everyone is different. I chose this one bc it has the lowest levels of hormones compared to other OCPs

I second the condoms! There's too many negatives to birth control and you shouldn't feel pressured to take it if you don't want to. There are other options that don't affect your hormones too like diaphragms, spermicide, tracking your cycle, and of course tubal litigation/ vasectomy if you're done having kids.

i can only take the progesterone only pill due to my migraines. it has zero estrogen. i never noticed any side effects personally.

Been on contraceptive pills since I was a teenager, as I got older the symptoms progressively got worse. Went natural in my late 20s and never looked back. Never had a pregnancy scare using condoms.. You're fine carrying on as usual if it suites you. The mental health symptoms are absolutely not worth it. I tried a few types of pills, implant and coil. The implant gave me the worst bipolar/depression ever.
