UTI

I’m currently 5w 4d and I have had cystitis for the last week, the doctor prescribed antibiotics and I’ve taken my last tablet today however it stills stings when I pee and I now have lower back pain which is constant. Has anyone else experienced this and was was the next steps the doctors took? Slightly concerned it’s a kidney infection so I will be calling them tomorrow am!

Definitely go back to the doctors and they’ll do a dip test to check for blood in your urine, that’ll tell them if the infection is still there. Sometimes UTIs can take a bit longer to go. 😊

Also my doctor said that because I’m pregnant they also have to send my urine off for analysis. ☺️

Definitely follow it up, could also drink unsweetened Cranberry juice.
