Second time mums!
Hello,
I'm just wanting to get an idea for how likely it may be that I will go into labour early with my second. I know there's no guarantee but first time round, my boy came at 37 and 3 days. Fully spontaneous. I was 2 days from starting maternity leave and went into labour at work.
Second time round (due 8th December) I reallllly want a bit of time before hand to rest and I'm already finding this pregnancy physically a lot harder.
Can I ask if second time mums usually went into labour close to first time round? I'm scared of going way over and having weeks and weeks of maternity leave wasted lol. So hard to find a balance

Hi, this is exactly what I wanted to know. With my first I he came at 36w and 4 days fully spontaneous also. Wondering how the second would be. Midwife has said prepare yourself anytime from a month before due date.my dd is 22nd October, but she says to be prepared from 22nd September. Waiting to see what everyone else replies
Im wondering the same thing, me and my brother were both exactly 2 weeks late for my mum and my partner and his sister were both 3.5 weeks early so I’ve been wondering if there’s a pattern…

First time I went into labor spontaneously at 40 weeks spot on. Second time around I had an induction scheduled for 40 weeks + 1 day and went into labour spontaneously a few hours before I was due to be induced.
