When to take annual leave after maternity

Maternity leave is coming to an end. I have up to 1 year after returning to take my accrued annual leave. Which would I find more beneficial, take it all at once before going back to work (so 14 months leave) or spread the annual leave across next year (12 months mat leave). Anyone have any advice on this?

I’m having 4 weeks at the end of my maternity then the other couple of weeks spread out, I only have 4 months to use them when I go back tho x

Go back to work now, you will need all your annual leave and sick leave for when bub is constantly sick from daycare 🙃

@Ella oh my goodness I forgot about that!

I would personally spread it out, depending on where you work, I would want shorter weeks for as long as I can have them. I.e 4day weeks but this is because I work from home and my lo isn’t going into nursery until later on. So shorter weeks to ease me back into work.
